Clarksons The Shirt Shop

Clarksons is situated in the Historic City of York on one of the oldest streets in the city. The building on High Petergate dates back to the 1500's with many of it's original features including the resident Ghost. Mr Ken Clarkson first opened the shop in 1946 as a Gents Tailoring and Regimental Tie Stockist. Shortly after, a very persistent Van Heusen representative persuaded Mr Clarkson to take twelve shirts on sale or return. Mr Clarksons eyes lit up when all twelve shirts were sold by that weekend. So beginning York's best kept secret ' Clarksons the Shirt Shop'.
